The Airport is conveniently located 4 miles north of downtown Panama City, and approximately 10 minutes from area beaches. From Highway 98 turn north onto Lisenby Avenue, then follow Lisenby Avenue 1.8 miles directly to the Airport terminal. The Panama City Bay County International Airport is owned and operated by the Panama City Bay County Airport and Industrial District (The Airport Authority). The Airport Authority is an Independent Special District created by the Florida Legislature. The Airport Authority owns the airport grounds, runway and taxiway system, terminal building, various other buildings and hangars on the field and the road connections to the city roadway system. The Airport has its own police and fire departments.
