The McConnell Douglas DC-9 is ideal for short-range distances. You have your choice from either First (16 seats) or Coach (84 seats). The primary destinations are within the USA and Canada. The seat configurations for this aircraft are unique in that the Coach section is five across, rather than your typical six across.
Located by the bulkhead in the First section. Seats 1A and B have a cutout in the bulkhead that allows you to stretch out your legs. However, 1C and D the legroom to be restricted. There is more light and noise due to its location near the lavatories. Also, there is no floor storage during takeoff and landing and overhead storage is limited due to the location of the emergency equipment.
Located in the First section. The meal service begins at the front and so you might not get your first choice. You will hear more noise from the Coach class, as there is only a curtain between the two sections.
