This 19-storey hotel with a three-storey atrium lobby is packed with amenities but near an area of the city that has seen better days. It is close to the city’s industrial and manufacturing districts. The area is noted for its production of textiles and ceramics. It is also near the Foreign Trade Bureau, museums, shops, banks and government offices. The 353 rooms and suites are fully equipped and more suited to the business traveler than the family on vacation. The hotel operates a limousine service to and from Tianjin International Airport which takes 25 minutes. The railway station is just a five-minute drive away.

No: Sadly this is not the best that Hyatt has to offer in Asia. Some former clients say the décor and furnishings had seen better days. No doubt Hyatt will take care of that problem. The major problem is that the river is polluted and nearby streets are dirty. Hyatt can do little to solve that problem. The hotel is in area that shined in the 1920s. That is not the case today. Other guests have complained that the charges for Internet were high and the access very slow. Minor gripes about service were overshadowed by those who praised the staff for being helpful and efficient. Hyatt Tianjin Accommodations
All rooms have stunning views of Tannin’s bustling city. The least expensive are 28-square.meters and there is a choice of a queen bed or two twin beds. The bathrooms come with a hairdryer and there is a work desk with Internet access. Other features: Multi-lingual satellite TV, coffee and tea-making facilities, complimentary mineral water, iron and ironing board, minibar, refrigerator, dual line phones and in-room safe.

The hotel has four restaurants. Chau Chiow serves a selection of Southern Chinese culinary delights. Xiang Wei Zhai Dumpling Restaurant serves Northern Chinese delicacies and Kahan Japanese restaurant offers a wide selection of Japanese dishes. These three restaurants are open for lunch and dinner. The Pines Cafe is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner and offers international cuisine. There are two lounges on the property, the Lobby Lounge and Chats Club Bar. The hotel has an attractive spa and fitness center. Three golf courses are within easy driving distance of the property. There is a beauty salon and barber shop on site as well as airline ticketing offices. Laundry and dry cleaning services are available and the 24-hour front desk can organize car rentals and excursions.
