Customer Reviews for Comfort Inn Maingate

Great deal near Disneyland - posted on 01/19/2006

The Comfort Inn Maingate is a great place to stay at a great price for your Disneyland vacation. We stayed in one of their Family Suites. The suite was two queen beds and a bunk bed. It was basic but everything we needed. Clean and comfortable and a place to sleep after long days at Disneyland.

Needs some Improvement - posted on 11/28/2006

The staff was helpfull and nice. Location was close to the Disney parks. Shower's ran very hot and very cold. No inbetween. The toilets also ran if you didnt jiggle the handle. Pillows were flat but the beds were okay. Our outside light was out unless you gave it a wack then it would light up. But then when the door shut the light would go out again. The breakfast was danish, waffels, cereal & fruit. Good for light breakfast eaters. If I were going back to this area, I would choose a different place. Just because there are so many hotels around.

Father than it looks - posted on 10/16/2006

The hotel was nice. It is almost 2 miles from the maingate and the shuttle is at the hotel next door and costs $3 per person each way. We thought it was only a mile so walked. Breakfast was very nice, good selections. Would stay again despite distance.

Sunshine & Palm Trees - posted on 07/07/2006

In Anaheim for House of Blues concert not Disneyland. Hotel very clean, nothing broken, shower was hot. Front desk always courteous, friendly and helpful. Four minutes from Disney. Did not use pool. I would definately stay here again. Oh, almost forgot the breakfast -the usual staples and fresh oranges, considering CA is where they grow. To me that is special.

Clean & inexpensive - posted on 07/03/2006

We found this place a very clean and comfortable spot to rest up after long days at Disneyland. Friendly staff, adequate breakfast. Nothing fancy, but we didn't want to pay for fancy.

The rooms were clean. We enjoyed the two room suite with bunkbeds. Pool's heater needs repaired. Breakfast just okay.

Nice place - posted on 01/25/2006

It was a nice place if you do not mind putting up with the noisy families that come here. They were able to move me to a room further away from the free breakfast which got real oisy with families. The laundry for guest was awful, the equipment did not work. No microwaves but had a frige.

Clean and affordable - posted on 01/19/2006

This was a nice, clean and affordable place to stay. All the conveniences we needed and more-hair dryer, iron, coffee maker and fridge all in room. Towels folded decoratively. A little street noise, but we were too tired to notice. A bit of a walk, but we had planned to drive instead of taking the trolley anyway. Overall much nicer than expected. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We'll be back!

Would Stay Again - posted on 01/18/2006

This hotel was great. It wasn't in walking distance to Disneyland but a shuttle was available a short walk away. The only thing I had a problem with is where our room was located. It was right by the traffic and the breakfast room. It was very noisy if you wanted to sleep in past 7 AM. Otherwise... the room was fantastic and had a great shower. Would recommend and would definitely stay again.

perfectly adequate - posted on 11/22/2005

Better than expected for under a hundred bucks, got the kids suite with bunk beds, great for 2 adults and two 5-year olds, probably could have done one more kid in there. cable for 1 of 2 TVs didnt work well, the maint. crew tried but could only barely fix it, but not a big issue since we werent there that much. front desk was very helpful. breakfast was crowded and average, but adequate. trolley transit is crowded and slightly inconvenient time-wise, but a short walk, and cheaper than parking at disney, so take your pick. didnt try pool.

Well worth it - posted on 09/22/2005

Stayed at a dive the night before and switched to this place. Very clean rooms, better TV chanel variety, very helpful staff let us use the microwave in the lobby. Fridge and locking safe in room was a plus. Breakfast was decent. Toast, cereal, waffles, fruit, pastries, coffee, juice

Surprise!! - posted on 01/04/2005

It had been over 10 yrs since I had been to Anaheim. Back then the area was pretty bad. What a great surprise! Room was clean and ready for us ( even though we were there well before check in time). The Disney shuttle stops right next door. They also sold discounted Disney tickets there. Deluxe breakfast wasn't that deluxe and the coffee was awful BUT there was a Carrows next door that gave a discount with your room key.Would DEFINITELY stay there again.

Group trip to Anaheim - posted on 12/27/2004

We had three 2 Queen / bunkbed suites for a large church group. Rooms were surprisingly spacious, breakfast was adequate. This was perfect for us with 6 to a room. Great for kids.
