Nice hotel overall - posted on 05/25/2005
This was a nice hotel overall. It's only a 20 minute drive away from Disneyland. Nice big and clean rooms. Bath tubs need to be updated though. Self parking is $12/day. This hotel charges minimum $7.50 for use of their computers to access the internet, etc. Whereas, other Hyatts give you complimentary access.
Beware! - posted on 08/02/2006
My family recently stayed one night at this hotel, and that was enough for us! The walls were extremely thin, and you could hear everyone outside the hallway and next door! PLEASE be very aware of your bill as you check out. The add on various costs that you most likely DID NOT make.
Small parking spaces - posted on 06/04/2006
Modern cold appearing front desk is stark and very noisy reflecting any noise throughout the area. Parking is extra cost a real negative and the spaces are extremely small unless you drive a Miata. Internet was extra cost.

Most comfortable bed I've experienced compared to other hotels. Only shortcoming is no snack machine in the lobby.
One of the BEST! - posted on 11/08/2005
Bed & Decor is very nice. Hotel style is casual. Starbucks inside is good, but stay away from the sandwiches - they're premade, very small, and soggy. Food is very good. Room service is prompt, but be sure to ask for condiments when ordering. 2 Bed rooms have only 2 beds, a wood table, and 2 wood chairs - no office chair - uncomfortable when staying with more than 2 people - no comfortable place to sit or hang out in room. VALET PARKING is a MUST: $16/day but worth it. Self Parking is $12/day and there's no parking when there's an event.
Great Place to Stay - posted on 07/28/2005
Nice hotel, clean and not too expensive. I would return again even though I paid extra for parking.
Terrible! - posted on 04/01/2005
The fire alarm kept ring for over 30 minutes and there was no apology from the staff.

My husband and I were just looking for a great place to stay after our long car ride and the Hyatt Regency Irvine was exactly what we needed. The emplyoees acted very quickly on our requests, to make our stay very homey.

The only thing bad about our stay was it was too short!! We enjoyed everything about this hotel and plan to go back every time we come to Irvine.
