Great location! Found street parking for free (during weekend). Would definitely try to stay there again.
The location was very convenient for walking in downtown.
Room was a little small.

This is not a 4-star hotel by my standards. Things I noticed that form my basis for that statement: undesirable odor; old, rickety furniture in rooms; no pool; bad plumbing (my 5-year old used the commode once and plugged it up); except for valet parking, unresponsive staff (I called the front desk at 8:30 pm to report a clogged commode and was told engineering would be right over. Engineering didn't show up until the next morning, after I called again); no vending or ice machine down the hall.
Location, valet parking staff.
No pool, odor, bad plumbing, old, no vending or ice down hall, big metal key to access room.

Does HotelsByCity recommend this hotel?
This conveniently located historic hotel offers more than a good nights sleep. Almost all guests were happy with its location. Many of them appreciated helpful and polite staff, parking, restaurant, bar and spacious clean rooms. However, some visitors were disappointed with poor dry cleaning service, small dark rooms and bathrooms, dated décor and furnishings, sub-standard bedding and broken amenities.
