From the moment we arrived at the Residence Inn by Marriot in Pittsburgh Oakland the front desk staff was most helpful in making us feel welcome. From directions to dining recommendations to an extra toothbrush, we were treated like family. The hotel managerf discovered we were from Cincinnati & gave us his tickets fto the Pitt/UC football game; just because. The breakfast buffet each morning was superb. I could not have asked for a more classy establishment. Thank you for making the experience divine.

The best features were the pool, fitness room, the basketball courts, and the balcony. Rooms needed some TLC, shower seat had duct tape on it. Door would not shut, but maintenance was able to fix in a few minutes. Otherwise, seemed very clean. Most of the staff was very friendly. No restaurant or bar in hotel and food stores hard to get to in a not so great area of town makes for a hungry person!

We chose this hotel because of it's proximity to the University of Pittsburgh campus, but there must be better hotels in the area. The bedding was disgusting the the sofa had some type of stains on it. The sheets they brought for the sofa bed were too small and the blankets just plain smelled. The employees weren't very friendly or helpful. The only plus was that there was quite a bit of space.
