The 125-room Holiday Inn Express Suites South Side is located in Pittsburgh's historic South Side, well known for its famous Carson Street nightlife, and provides quality affordable accommodation equally suited to the business traveler or vacationer. Items included with the room rate at this six-story hotel are a hot breakfast buffet, a shuttle within a three-mile radius of the property, high-speed Internet access, local telephone calls, a morning newspaper and in-room coffee. There are three meeting rooms available for business or social functions. The largest can accommodate 40 guests. Area sports venues include Heinz Field, home of the Steelers, PNC Park, home of the Pirates and Mellon Arena, home of the Penguins. Corporate offices nearby include US Steel, Finmeccanica Spa, PPG Place, Dynavox and General Dynamics.

Many visitors to Pittsburgh who stayed at this Holiday Inn Express were delighted with their choice and said the property proved to be ideal. The employees here were friendly and efficient and the rooms were well equipped and squeaky clean. The rates were reasonable and two unexpected bonuses were the complimentary shuttle to neighborhood shops and offices and an on-site restaurant and lounge which stayed open until midnight.
