The room was very nice and extremely quite compared to the noise level in the halls. The hotel parking was high ($15 for self park and $21.50 for Valet parking) without in/out privileges. There were several lots close by at reduced pricing ($6 and $8) but this extra cost should be included in evaluating staying at this location.
The room was very nice especially for the price. Beautiful lobby area!
Pool was murky (why cleanliness was not a 10) and the price of parking was high.

Does HotelsByCity recommend this hotel?
Many who have stayed here say it is the best hotel in Houston. Highly praised were the staff and reasonable rates. Businessmen appreciated the free shuttle to and from the convention center particularly during the hot summer weather. There have been complaints that some of the facilities and accommodation are starting to look a little tired. But those comments will soon vanish. The hotel is due for a major refit in early 2008. Parking: Yes, there is parking. Overnight valet parking costs $25 per night including taxes and in and out privileges. Self parking at a cost of $16 per day is available at a city-owned parking lot next door to the hotel. That price does not allow for in and out privileges.
