The 218-room Marriott Salt Lake City University Park provides quality accommodation at a reasonable price equally suited to the business traveler or families on vacation. The seven-story, non-smoking hotel enjoys great views of the Wasatch Mountains and is close to the University of Utah, Hogle Zoo, Red Butte Gardens and the high-tech Research Park. Items included in the room rate are in-room tea and coffee, local phone calls and a morning newspaper. The hotel has 10 meeting rooms available for business or social events. The largest, the Bonneville Room, can accommodate 500 guests. Area landmarks and attractions include five golf courses, seven ski resorts, concerts at Gallivan Plaza, ES Arena, home of the Utah Jazz, Hale Center Theatre, Clark Planetarium, the Utah State Capitol Building, Lagoon Amusement Park and shopping at Gateway Plaza and Gardner Village.

All the guestrooms, and 29 suites, have a well-lit work desk with high-speed Internet access at a cost of $9.95 per day, television with cable movie and news channels, pay-per-view movies, alarm clock, tea and coffee making facilities, pullout-sofa bed, iron and ironing board, bathrobes, hairdryer and cordless telephone with voicemail.

The Pitchers Lounge has a fully stocked bar and there is a Starbucks Coffee on-site which is open throughout the day. From Salt Lake City Airport (SLC) 15 miles: Take I-80 East to I-15. Take 600 South Exit heading east, turn left at 700 East, turn right at 400 South and continue past University of Utah. Turn left on Wakara Way, proceed 1/4 mile, and the hotel is on the left side.
